a 4x4 piston trapdoor at the same level as the ground.
I made this design by myself, so if you have any suggestions to make it better feel free to tell me.
I think you could hide redstone a little bit more by using obsidian and activating pistons through blocks using repetors (it even passes through obsidian)

built this and theres a one block gap in the middle and one side is pushed further than the other
