so as Solace.styx0 said the schematic is quite bad but i think it would be logical to add the missing walls and watch the video, the golems do get damaged if iron bars are used.

This schematic is terrible, I would personally find another instead of using this, as the farm does not even work as the schematic instructs. However, if you must use this one, the fixes are as such: Add more glass to cover the two exposed ends of the + shaped spawning platforms. Do not use iron bars to encase the golem, use chains, right up to the glass that prevents ghasts spawning. If you don't do this he will die. You will also need to add more scaffolding to the top until you are around 12 to 15 blocks away from the build limit. I have no idea how many this is, but I'm sure you can figure it out.
